Moves will not usually be postponed or canceled unless either/both the State of California and your destination state/country communicates severe weather or travel alerts.

We'll make this easy: however much time is required to complete the move safely and professionally! You won’t be charged by the hour. (Flat rates, remember?). Knowing that moves have unexpected outcomes, Move Happy will focus on being efficient instead of consuming time.

Boxes are part of the deal—you get those for free! In addition, we can also pack certain things for you. Though, keep in mind, it may cost extra to have us completely pack and unpack for you. Just give us a call if you feel like you’ll need all the help and we’ll make it happen!

There are two wardrobe boxes supplied on your moving day, free of charge. Though, also keep in mind, there is a charge for how much of the truck the wardrobe boxes take up.

There are additional costs if our moving team is required to ascend any additional flights of stairs, though that also depends on the size and shape of your items. Keep in mind that our standard package always includes one set of stairs.

Nope, moving is not susceptible to tax.

We gladly accept any major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), cash, money order, and wire transfers. Note that we do not accept checks or Discover, however.

Once we’ve got our moving plan set up, you’ll be charged two business days before the start of the big move.

Move Happy has various forms of loss and damage insurance for the haulage. You can always add any additional coverage by downloading and using the Move Happy app or by calling and asking for an assistant before your moving day.

Move Happy can send you an Insurance Certificate (COI) for the building you live in, as long as you ask us. We can deliver the COI after you schedule your moving day to assist you in planning and reserving the building’s freight elevator. We can also work with your building’s manager to do so.

Sure can! We’ll also protect it with a blanket, in accordance with our guidelines and standards.

If you could, that would make the movers’ lives much easier. If you’re self-packing, we suggest you remove the drawers before moving day.

If possible, please keep your high-value jewelry and important documents with you during the move. Keeping it on your person is the best way to go about that!

All sentimental and any high-value goods would be good to pack before all the shuffling begins. This includes any prescribed medication and other necessities (food, etc.).

Yes, but only for short-distance/local moves. We want to make sure your plant babies stay perky (and alive, obviously). Because things can shift in the moving containers during transport, plant carriage during long-distance moves are actually not permitted per state limitation.

Unfortunately, due to legal restrictions, safety regulations, and company policy, we cannot move guns and ammunition, illicit substances, flammable liquids, plants (long-distance), and live animals.

Yes, we will reimburse you for all goods that were initially quoted on the plan but not moved.

Yup! You’re able to change your itinerary at every stage with our app or by giving our service team a call.

When it comes to local moves, we're all about ten to twenty percent of the total bill—a fair split for a job well done. But for longer moves, let's cut that down to five to eight percent and split it right down the middle. Half for delivery, half for pickup—see, we're all about balance! We have an array of trucks and vans that are various in size, ranging from fifteen feet to twenty-six feet, all the way to eighteen-wheeler trailers. Not to mention, we keep a clean and diverse selection of vehicles to cater to any moving requirement.

Before you hit the road with us, we kindly request that you handle the great A/C uninstallation yourself or book a pro to lend a hand. Trust us, it's the smoothest way to breeze through moving day! Now, for all you tech-savvy movers out there, we've got an expert service that'll handle the delicate task of uninstalling and setting up your electronics. Just a heads-up: there might be an extra cost involved, but hey, it's worth every penny for that stress-free move and seamless setup.

Absolutely! We can place furniture according to an agreed, bespoke floor plan before the move. Just let us know during the quoting process, and we’ll have our dedicated team assist you with that request.

Of course! We’ve got a band of hard-working folks, and everyone’s gotta eat! So when the move takes a day or longer, they’ll be making sure meal breaks are included in transit. Don’t worry about timing, though. None of that time will be charged to you, and our schedule will ensure that your items remain on track.

For long-distance moves, food cannot be packed—state laws prohibit it. If you’re moving locally, you can still pack food and liquids (just make sure that stuff’s sealed).
